Encouragement at Burger King

Marcia and Stephanie met Kristina at a Burger King in the afternoon.  They approached her and asked if they could get Kristina’s opinions on a spiritual interest survey.  The survey led into an opportunity for Stephanie and Marcia to share the gospel with Kristina.  During the conversation, Kristina told them a lot about her life and her family.  She did not agree with their beliefs and does not yet believe in God, but she was very open to continuing to talk.  She was also interested in reading Josh McDowell’s book, More Than a Carpenter.  She gave Stephanie her phone number so that Stephanie could meet with her in the future.

Stephanie shared how this experience had been a big encouragement to her.  Stephanie had been struggling recently with discouragement, being tiredness and frustration.  She had not been looking forward to the week of ministry and sharing her faith.  But God helped her to get up and to be available.  She said that she was really encouraged by the excitement and enthusiasm shown by the 9 teenagers from Orlando.  Our presence had been an encouragement to her at a time of the year that she needed it most.

In March, Jeff led a mission team of 9 teenagersand a Campus Crusade for Christ staff member to Budapest, Hungary. The team spoke in different Hungarian high schools each day and built relationships with students they met in the classes.

They also invited students to a Battle fo the Bands outreach at the end of the week. Over 600 packed into an old movie theater. It was the second largest outreach the Hungarian ministry has done.
