Tonight was our AWANA awards nights. Awana is a club where kids memorize God’s Word, play games and learn lessons through story time. This was Katy’s first year in the club.

She was one of two girls to earn three awards tonight. She finished her book (26 unique verses), went back and repeated them through review and then learned 17 more verses through a workbook. I am very proud of what she has done. She has really hidden God’s Word in her heart.

I am amazed at how quickly she can memorize something and she also thinks about it. Lately she has been asking some really deep questions about things she has read in her Bible or things she has heard Anne and I talking about. I have nicknamed Katy “my little theologian.”
