The Campus Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is preparing for a historic gathering next summer in South Korea. CM2007 will be a gathering of 20,000 students from all over the world. This is the first global student mission’s conference in Campus Crusade’s history.

CM2007 was conceived as a way to accelerate the launching and building of spiritual movements on every campus in the world. At the heart of this gathering is the challenge for students to adopt the 6,000 unreached campuses.

Students have historically been at the center of change. For over 50 years, over 20,000 missionaries went to the world with the Student Volunteer Movement. That movement began in answer to a challenge made at the end of the very first Christian conference for college students in 1886.

The organizers of CM2007 hope that next summer’s conference will launch the next movement of students that will help to reach all the campuses of the world.

The conference has three primary themes:

  • Christ Magnified – Calling students to live a life surrendered to the Lordship of Christ and to exalt our magnificent God and Savior. Much of the conference will focus on helping participants see our holy God in a new and clear way.
  • Connected Movements – Connecting the hearts and lives of our students and staff as a global community of campus movements. We will learn from, encourage, and be challenged by others from different walks of life, cultures, languages and experiences.
  • Completing the Mission – Unleashing a new generation of spiritual movement builders to strengthen existing movements, and launch new movements on the unreached campuses of the world. Every participant will be challenged to help fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.

This past summer, I created the website for English speakers. The website contains video, a prayer guide and other information about this historic conference. Check out the website at http://cm2007.net.
